You can sit outside and are served by friendly staff. Breakfast was plentiful, tasty and the price was right. The toilets are clean. ... so everything is good all round. 👍🏻

On the pilgrimage by bike from Gemen to Kevelaer, we took a break here and were served by a very nice and extremely friendly young lady. Large outdoor seating areas. Nice view of the market square, good pastries, good coffee

Lovely cakes and coffee. The flammkuchen is brilliant and they do a mean schnitzel. The waitresses are nice, but look rather unhappy and a bit shabby; the service is OK, though. You can’t get any WIFI here, but the food makes up for that... 😁

Very friendly and courteous service. Luckily today, not as full as usual. There was a wide selection of home-made pies, cakes and pastries, all very appealing. In addition, an incredibly delicious cappuccino is served here. We were thoroughly enthusiastic, the cakes were very fine in taste, a dream. Personally, I liked the atmosphere very much. A charming mix of old and new furniture. A must when visiting Xanten.

I like the coffee very much. The operation is also fast. We did not wait 3 minutes for the cake. Overall, the store could be updated but something. And I do not mean the furniture.

Very nice cafe`direkt on the market square and opposite the cathedral. It must be a goldmine if you do a lot right.

In 2009 I have been here with my brother. Even then we felt in good hands in terms of cake. Now I was here with a work colleague and his wife. The cake in the counter looked so delicious that we all indulged immediately 2 pieces. We have not regretted that! Although I personally do not drink coffee every day, it is just part of a piece of delicious cake. How he tasted in 2009 I do not remember exactly, but this time he was especially tasty. Not too strong and not too weak. Simply excellent! Our service was also very friendly. We sat outside overlooking the market square and it was very pleasant. Actually, you really did not want to leave. But so you look forward to the next visit and since I'm retired in the meantime, it will definitely not take 10 years.

Sacher Torte is their name, but mainly consists of nougat. Have not eaten such a delicious cake for a long time. Clear tip for nougat fans.

I gave a try to the cafe on a one day visit to Xanten.The overall atmosphere was very good. It's gives the impression of a highly sofisticated cafe. I ordered a cake with Coffee. I had less expectations. It was WOW. I still remember my first bite from it !!!! The staff is very friendly . Looking forward to go there again 😍😍

A very rich selection of cakes, which even pleasantly surprised me that there is also the possibility to lunch, the ambience of the interior and the distribution of seating invite you to linger, as far as I could see the possibility to sit down a floor , another plus point is the lighting in the evening in changing colors make the outside facade shine, in conclusion, I can only recommend the Stadtcafé Xanten to visit, I certainly liked it very much and just loved it

We are spending our holidays in Xanten for the third time now and are always happy to return to the city Café Xanten for breakfast. We like the charming classic decor. Price performance okay. Courteous service. Always my pleasure
